The effort to get mercury-free vaccines in New York marches. And your efforts are paying off we know have 62 sponsors in the Assembly which means we will probably have a majority of the Assembly shortly signed on as sponsors. That means we are guaranteed top pass if the bill gets to the Assembly floor.
But we need your help. In the Assembly the bill is sitting in the Health Committee. We need the Health committee chair, Rchard Gottfried, to move the bill along. We see movement but not enough. This would be a good time to ask him in a polite and respectful way to approve the bill in committee and move it on to the Assembly floor. As the chair of a major committee Gottfried acts on behalf of all New Yorkers so anyone in the state has a right to call him.
You can contact Chairman Richard Gottfired at:

New York, NY 10001
Your phone call or letter could make a big difference. Ten phone calls on an issue is a groundswell for most bills.
We also need you to contact your local Assembly member and Senator and ask them to sign on to A 5543 in the Assembly and S 2707 in the Senate.
One last thing. We still need to get the Governor to sign a bill please contact him at:
