The World Natural Health Organization is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Stephen Fox as a member of the International Advisory Board and as a Special Consultant to the WNHO. Mr. Stephen Fox, for those of you who have not heard of him, resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico and is the founder of the New Mexico Nutrition Counsel. Mr. Fox is one of the major individuals behind the current events happening in New Mexico concerning aspartame and thimerosal (there is lots of information concerning this on the WNHO web site at: http://www.wnho.net ). We will have a bio for Mr. Fox posted shortly.
Mr. Fox has been for many months now been urgently requesting letters be sent to the New Mexico Governor and to the Attorney General in support of a ban on Aspartame and in support of the creation of a new New Mexico Nutrition Council, particularly emphasizing the states' rights powers to challenge an obviously flawed FDA approved product, despite Ajinomoto's cries of "Federal Preemption! FDA approval of Aspartame! Silence to both Boards!" Until the Attorney General issues her opinion, this is an extremely high priority, one which will affect many similar efforts in many other states.
Mr. Fox also has recommended that if readers want to initiate similar efforts in their states, they should commence by asking the Supreme Court Librarian in their state or province if there are relevant statutes which prohibit poisonous food additives and harmful adulterants to food and to medication. Armed with such statutes, they should approach their state senators and representatives, and ask their help in making presentation to their food quality board (in New Mexico it is called the Environmental Improvement Board) and to their Boards of Pharmacy regarding children's medications containing aspartame.
