Dear Honorable Annette King:
Whatever possessed you to send me aspartame propaganda? I have drawers of it. When I need more excuses defending that excitoneurotoxic carcinogenic drug I'll write Ajinomoto.
Your "advisors" at NZFSA wouldn't accept the medical evidence and Congressional records verifying aspartame's toxicity I traveled across the world to bring to you. Their propaganda has been rebutted many times and reads as if the producers of aspartame wrote it, which no doubt they did. They couldn't admit they were wrong; just turned up the propaganda volume. They keep lying and New Zealanders keep dying, and you don't care a whit. Shame! SHAME!
You needn't tell me about the European Commission's Scientific Committee on Food review of 2002 because I was there. I was wired and the whole two hour meeting is on tape. They ignored the damning evidence I presented. Two years later the assessment by the European Anti-Fraud Agency (OLAF) revealed that the "Opinion of the European Commission, Scientific Committee on Food: Update on the Safety of Aspartame / E951" was written by a single individual, there wasn't any committee!

Because the Ramazzini Studies are so prestigious the only excuse you could find was "inconclusive"? It was conclusive enough to be peer reviewed by 7 world experts. Dr. M. Soffritti received an award only given twice before in history. FDA admitted that aspartame causes cancer in 1985. Listen to the FDA toxicologist, Dr. Adrian Gross and the Congressional Record: 8/1/85 Dr.Gross, told Congress Searle's studies:
"Established beyond ANY REASONABLE DOUBT that aspartame is capable of inducing brain tumors in experimental animals and that this predisposition of it is of extremely high significance. ... In view of these indications that the cancer causing potential of aspartame is a matter that had been established WAY BEYOND ANY REASONABLE DOUBT, one can ask: What is the reason for the apparent refusal by the FDA to invoke for this food additive the so-called Delaney Amendment to the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act?"
The Delaney Amendment makes it illegal to allow residues of carcinogens in food. In his concluding testimony Gross asked, "Given the cancer causing potential of aspartame how would the FDA justify its position that it views a certain amount of aspartame as constituting an allowable daily intake or 'safe' level of it? Is that position in effect not equivalent to setting a 'tolerance' for this food additive and thus a violation of that law? And if the FDA itself elects to violate the law, who is left to protect the health of the public?" Congressional Record SID835:131 (August 1, l985).
No one may be there to protect the public but you're right their to protect this deadly poison. SHAME!
What don't you understand about the FDA admission that aspartame causes cancer? It's public record!

You claim people can avoid aspartame because of a labeling code, 951. How many in NZ know 951 is aspartame? What public education have you sponsored to so inform them? With the NZFSA stumbling the public how can consumers know its a deadly drug that interacts with all drugs and vaccines. How can NZ citizenry know of the textbooks on aspartame toxicity? The industry propaganda you peddle was answered to you repeatedly. If you banned it when we contacted you years ago people like Abby Cormack wouldn't have almost died. The Ecologist published 17 pages on the time line and political chicanery that was involved in getting it marketed.
